LFW Street Style Watch

LFW has started up for another week as we anticipate the extravagant AW16 collections of some of our most-loved designers from Brit-based Burberry and Topshop Unique and of course the return of Alexander McQueen, it's set to be an incredible week for fashion. I headed down to Brewer Street Carpark (the hub of LFW) in Soho to see what trends are being showcased on the streets.

All things fur coats stole the attention of photographers this LFW as we see a return of this controversial trend. From multi-coloured to warm mustard a fur coat was sure to get you noticed on this street and I couldn't get enough of it.

How fancy is this guy?!

Shoes shoes shoes. This season I spotted everything from the cult slip-on loafers to 60's inspired heeled boots, and the cult lace up ballet shoes that seem to be cropping up everywhere.

Next up- oversized coats. Not necessarily a new trend seen on these street styles stars but certainly one that's here to stay, both women and men were embracing this style for that ever classic put-together look.

Boxy jumpers and straight-leg jeans are the new uniform for the casual girl. Not only does it exude effortless chic but puts comfort on par with style- a foolproof mix for Parisian glamour.

True parisian chic on the streets of London

Don't shy away from patterns this season as these girls show you how to style loud prints in a feminine way. Long skirts created an effortless silhouette because who says your most elegant clothes can't be worn on the streets.

Colour co-ordinating with your best friend is a must this season!
It wouldn't be street style without amazing looks from girls who aren't afraid to push the boundaries. I fell in love with this all metallic look mixed with mermaid hair for a futuristic vibe, whilst this black jumpsuit featuring bright pink bows is the perfect mix of feminine and edgy. Perhaps most daring of all was this final girl, wearing nothing but under-garments and a trench coat, certainly a brave choice not to mention the temperature it was that day.

All black and monochrome were another key trend on the first day of LFW giving off a tough vibe with urban influences.

Finally hues of dusty rose and petal pinks were perhaps the prettiest trend of this street style season and one that I cannot wait to try. Perfect for the transitional period between Winter and Spring, these girls pull it off perfectly.

It wouldn't of course be fashion week though without a few celebrity sightings, I was lucky enough to spot the legendary Hilary Alexander and Susie Lao dash past me between shows. And amongst all the chaos, my friend and I were street style papped ourselves. Below is a photo courtesy of Vernez.com.
