Track Release // VIØLETS- When The Light Goes Down //

A beautifully mellow soundscape forms the foundations of VIØLETS stunning new single, When The Light Goes Down, coming as the third track to be released from the talented alt-pop quartet. Having released their first two singles Sinners and Ghost which racked up thousands of streams across Spotify and Soundcloud, it's no surprise that their third track is destined to be a hit too.

The emotionally-fuelled song is layered with haunting vocal harmonies from lead singer Pippa Sarratt, against punchy drums pads and melancholic synth melodies from Aaron Miller and Morgan Kilmartin, combining for an incredibly heartfelt and impassioned track. Lead guitarist Rob Wheatley showcases striking guitar riffs, which sonically carry the track to stratospheric heights and mix perfectly with the ambient feel of the song.

There's something incredibly special about the combination of these four musicians together, as each song they write is so distinct from the others, and the complexities of their songwriting is incomparable to a lot of bands on the alt-pop scene. When The Light Goes Down is undoubtedly the perfect new single to sit alongside their previous releases, and with a music video set to accompany the track coming soon, you can guarantee you'll be seeing a lot more of this talented quartet.

The band are also set to perform at The Great Escape festival on Saturday May 20th at Sticky Mike's Frog Bar alongside a host of incredible acts for the RYP Recordings and Bakery Boy Music stage.  They're also set to headline their biggest show to date at Birthdays in Dalston on May 31st, so if you've never seen the band live then don't miss out, as they've got a setlist of unreleased tunes and an incredible stage presence which are sure to blow you away.
