Track Release // Honey Lung- Sophomore //

If you've read Bands to Watch, you'll already know how much I love London four-piece Honey Lung,  and so I'm excited to say the guys are back with their brand new single on RYP Recordings called Sophomore. The track has already had major airplay from the likes of Huw Stephens on Radio 1; and deservedly so as the guys keep on getting better with each release.

Honey Lung have found the recipe to shoegaze perfection with Sophomore, from it's light and shade of mellow fuzzy guitars to its build-up of stratospheric grunge riffs, and explosive percussion on the chorus. It's a track that's infectiously catchy, as lead singer and guitarist Jamie Batten dabbles into the trials and tribulations of friendships and relationships, making it relentlessly relatable through it's sonic highs and lows.

Its fair to say grunge has been back on the rise for a while, but Honey Lung are undoubtedly leading the airwaves for the post-grunge scene with their colossal alt-rock tracks and are building up a huge fanbase in the process. The guys are also set to play The Great Escape this May, having just played When in Manchester and a session for SoFar Sounds, so you'll want to get in on this rising band before they explode into the industry.

Sophomore is released on May 5th, and to celebrate the release you can catch Honey Lung play Camden Assembly on May 2nd which is set to be huge. Buy your tickets here before they sell out:
